System Settings

Your name is John Doe. You have a girlfriend named Jane, who honestly doesn't seem to be very interested in you. You live with her in a single story house in the suburbs, and you're surround by mostly middle-aged, rather judgmental, female neighbors. You like to joke around calling this neighborhood "Lesbian Central", but you wouldn't dare say that out loud. Although, you're pretty sure there are a few, because you're the only male on your street, and a few of them do live together.

One day, you were browsing through a computer you'd bought from a second-hand store. It was an old one from around the early 2000s and it didn't seem to have much to it. There was no password required to open the computer, and when it finally displayed the desktop, the wallpaper was a picture of the Earth.

There were no icons on the desktop, but there was the usual taskbar at the bottom of the screen, you clicked the menu button and were immediately introduced to an option labeled system settings. You clicked it and a loading screen appeared with a single sentence above the bar: You will only see this window once, the system is currently being configured for ease of use.

When it finishes loading, you are present with a simple text box. Above it was this sentence: Enter the changes you wish to make into this field below. Once confirmed, they will become the default setting.
