Let's Set the Stage!

This is a rather large family. A Mother, A father, an Aunt, an Uncle, 2 sets of Grandparents (One on fathers side, one on mothers side) The Aunt had three sons, Uncle had three daughters, the mom and dad had three kids themselves. One Boy, One Girl, And one yet to be decided (Our MC).

They live in a small beachside town far away from anything big aside from a few farms, the closest city being over five hundred miles away. There was only one school that everyone went two, only one groceries store, a few restaurants and other businesses, but mostly just houses. So no one really bothered to come into town unless they were lost, or moving somewhere quiet.

Until One Day, a group of men in suits came to the families house. They offered them more money than they could imagine, if they gave up one of their family members to become a toy for the entire town. So, they got together to discuss. And they had known what they would be doing before they had even sat down.

Our MC was secretly hated by the family. They always acted friendly when around them, treated them the same, but deep down they all despised them for one reason or another. And so, a deal was made. Our MC was going to be the toy of the town. Their closest "friends" also were happy to get the MC away from them, similarly hating them but also not saying anything since they could use the MC for money, but still secretly hating them.

It took a few days to prepare, everyone making sure to act especially nice to get the MC ready for the big day where the MC would be locked up for the rest of their life.

However, they couldn't just flip on a dime and reveal their true nature. That would risk the MC doing something drastic.

So, they'd be all nice for a while, let them think they were doing this for a good reason, that they on their side and would one day get them out, before finally dropping the truth bomb when the time was right and watching the hope drain from their face.

After a week of transporting equipment, spreading the word across town and buttering up our dear MC, it was finally time.

Today was the last day they'd walk free.
