Le Château des Cendres (English)

This is a collaborative work. A story told in two voices. Two writers, two perspectives. One writes the hand that arranges. The other, the girl being arranged.

The premise is simple, and old: wealth wants what it wants, and poverty makes the wanting easy. An English heiress with exacting tastes. A French teenager with nothing but her looks and an empty bank account. A contract written in a language the girl can barely read, for a position she doesn't yet understand, in a gilded cage designed from the foundations up for a single purpose she won't grasp until it's far too late to leave.

Set in the lavender-scented quiet of the rural South of France, 'Château des Cendres' follows the slow, deliberate corruption of a working-class country girl by the moneyed English perverts who've hired her. What begins as a dream job at a private estate becomes something else entirely: a curated descent into exhibition, servitude, and a sexuality she never asked to discover but can't quite refuse.
