A New Beginning

Walking down the corridor, led by a busty blonde scientist, into a room with a massive tube. Within the tube was a suspended man, seemingly sleeping with an oxygen mask around his nose and mouth.

“Sir. This here is the latest subject and our most successful one yet.”

“And what of the others?” I asked.

The blonde tapped on the electronic pad before handing it to me.

“Interestingly, Sir. All of them except one originated from Africa, specifically closer to the center of the continent.”

The scientist pauses for a moment before speaking again.

“We found the closer they originate to the center, the higher chance of success. The blacks from outside of Africa failed faster than the whites that originated toward the edge of Africa.”

“Interesting.” I mumbled.

“And is this one ready?”
