Beta(tester)s

"So how's it gonna work?" The older man asked as the two watched all of the people who applied for beta testing filed into their respective rooms.

The younger one chuckled. "It's quite simple. We're gonna split 'em up, give about half of them the gaming set and the other half get the project."

"And they won't know the difference?"

"Nope. Both devices look the same. And don't worry, we've got all the bases covered. The two groups won't be able to interact with the other once they're under."

"That's not what I was worried about. How are we gonna keep them under that long?"

"We've got a system. It's pretty much the same as what hospitals do for coma patients. Once they're in, we'll hook them up so they don't starve. Relax, boss."

"It's a risky experiment, Jonah."

"Yes but if it works, think about what we could do with it. People can change their bodies by just spending a couple weeks hooked up. Some guy wants to get ripped, he just gets on and swings a sword for a while. Once he comes out, he's got muscles like a barbarian!"

"Yes but what about the ones we're using the project on? You're absolutely certain it won't come back to bite us?"

"Don't stress it, pop. They won't come out for a while. And when they do, we'll take care of it. Most of them will probably be happier once they come out then when they went in. And if any of them aren't... we can always use more permanent testers."
