This is the story of John and Jane, a young married couple who met and had a whirlwind and happy romance and courtship, but saw their happy marriage side tracked when John went to law school, and then began work as an attorney.

John tried to take care of his wife as well as his career, but he chose his career nearly every time a choice was to be had. Neglect became a part of their marriage, and it is a powerful poison for a relationship.

For her part Jane tried to take care of her husband. She tended their house, she cooked for him, she kept herself fit and beautiful for him, and she had an appetite for sex that he could barely handle on his least busy of days.

But nobody can hold out forever when they are lonely. People have needs, they need release, and for a beautiful young woman like Jane, it was a question of when, not if she found comfort with another person.
