Little Woman

At some point in the near future, a miniature planet was discovered within the Milky Way. The planet looked remarkably like Earth with its own miniature humans. Unfortunately, shortly after its discovery, an asteroid hit the planet.

The miniature planet only had time to send their children into escape pods to escape to Earth. While Earth was unable to save the miniature planet, they could take care of the children from that planet. 18 years had passed since that day.

The miniature people were kept as pets, cared for by normal humans. Our protagonist is a 18 year old redheaded girl named Susie. Since she was an infant, she had been raised in a mini nursery by a facility staffed by normal sized humans.

Throughout the years, she had seen friends leave with normal sized humans while she stayed behind. But now, the facility had finally found a buyer for her, a young blonde girl named Laurie, the same age as Susie.

Laurie stared through the glass.

"Can she understand me?" she asked.

"Yes." said the seller. "They're not very different from us, only smaller."

"She's adorable." said Laurie. "What is your name?"

"Susie." the redhead said, blushing.

Laurie squealed.

"I'll take her."

Susie was placed inside a plastic see through box that was given to Laurie. Laurie took Susie to her home.

Inside she opened the lid on the box and let Susie climb onto her hand. Laurie lifted her into a dollhouse she had brought for her. It was generally advised that mini-human pets be placed inside a miniature house as they were biologically similar to humans, just much smaller.

Laurie had spent weeks researching how to take care of mini-humans.
