Into the Battlefield.

After Champion Elena opens the door up you can finally see Sunlight once again. Unfortunately the soft yellow rays of light were being blinded by a dark fog covering the entire sky. The entire grounds around the Abbey looked to be overwhelmed by darkness. "Goddess..." you groan as you look around the once green lush fields which are now dark, burning and void of non-demonic life. It was at that point you were finally able to look at your three friends and actually see the type of people they are.

Champion Elena is decked in a full suite of armor with a giant two handed battle axe that could easily crush or decapitate anything it gets close to. She had brown hair with brown eyes, stood just about five foot ten inches and was very commanding in her voice, mainly due to her being a Champion of the Goddess.

Paladin Valerie is blond haired with blue eyes standing at around five foot four inches and had a solid buckler and short sword in her grasp. She seemed to have a very muscular and slim body but you could tell she had larger breasts as even behind her chainmail her chest was protruding quite a lot. You already knew she was well trained with her hands from the amount of orgasms she gave you earlier with her fingers.

Paladin Bria was raven haired, about the same height as Valerie and her proportions were just the opposite. While Valerie has what seemed to be an amazing bosom, Bria had the thickest thighs and ass you've ever seen. You didn't notice it much when she was sitting on your face but for a brief moment you couldn't stop staring. She too had a buckler in one hand and a long spear in the other, able to fend off demons from afar if needed.

"Sabine, focus!" Elena's voice orders as she waves you over to a large boulder the three of them are crouching behind. "Come and stay low!"

You make your way over and kneel beside them. Your eyes veer around the battlefield and you're amazed by the amount of demons you see. Giant bat looking creatures and Imps coursing through the skies. Hellhounds and Ratches sprinting and searching the grounds. Massive blobs of flesh with multiple limbs and eyeballs holding giant weapons patrol the roads. "So many..." you grumble out.

Elena lets out a sigh as her eyes scour the lands "May be best to go back inside and let things cool off for a bit..." she's talking to herself "Sabine..." she says causing you to connect with her eyes "You were given the Sword. The War Mother trusted you and with that and for that reason I will as well. The choice is yours, what would you like to do?"

The Champion is asking you, a lowly sister of the Burning Rose what you'd prefer to do. She's giving you so much respect and honor just because your War Mother entrust you with the Sword of St. Magdalena.

You swallow hard as you look around the battlefield. You could turn around and go back inside the hidden passage and hope to stay safe until many of the demon's forces fall back.

From your studies you know that Victory Road will take you there most directly, but that road travels through the Blauwalt, a dark forest that is frequented by bandits and worse. You have traveled this way before, and during the many hours spent traversing the forest your caravan's guards were very nervous.

The more rural Splinter Road winds through small villages and may allow you to stop and seek help among the locals. A good thing, since you have no money or provisions. You might have to work for a bit of coin. The Splinter Road does meander through some less savory communities, like the mining town of Slurry and the outcast colony of Oublet. The road also crosses a bridge often captured by orc clans who kidnap and ransom travelers.

That leaves the Stone Road through the black mountains of Kyssyr. It will be difficult moving through the caves and tunnels and the Stone Road traverses are near the hunting grounds of the deep elves and their allies. It is said that few fates are worse than capture and enslavement to the sadistic deep elves. You have never traveled the Stone Road, but know that the gnomes operate a strange ferry and can be convinced to take humans more quickly to Gerlangen.

Champion Elena's clears her throat as she garners your attention once more "Well Sabine? What's your choice?"
