Intervals, part 2.

The next two weeks pass in a haze of late night sex and early morning goodbyes. Most nights, Bailey is over at the suite, the three of them enjoying all the different ways they can please each other. Even though nothing drives her to need it, Bailey shows up as Pet several times, and Tommy proves to be an excellent switch, watching Nick dominate Pet and learning the ropes. They work themselves into a rythym of sorts, playtime giving way to snacks and munchies as they cuddle in various combinations and watch movies online. Nick manages to talk them into a dinner out, but when Tommy breaks out the little black dress she's been hiding, they never actually make it to the restaurant.

They all agree not to talk about the developing situation with Sarah at the hospital, but occasionally Tommy and Nick catch Bailey looking wistful or contemplative. They don't push, and she doesn't offer to explain, so that just sort of lingers in the background, an annoying little factoid that will eventually come due.

Tommy and Nick, having more time to spend together, also develop a routine. To both their pleased surprise, they find out they have shared interests beyond fucking each other as often as possible; Nick takes her to her first art show at a local gallery. She takes him to a college movie theater for a French film marathon, and gets playfully jealous when she finds out he understands enough French to skip the subtitles. They both experiment with trips to the museums and even attempt a night out at a club, although Aden can't dance well enough to keep up with Tommy. The most important development in their relationship comes when they actually talk about possible futures. Both agree they are together, and that they both like sex enough to feel comfortable with playing with others in a semi-open relationship. Tommy doesn't seem to have any concept of jealousy, and Nick's emotions are disconnected from the physical act of sex, so it seems like they both will be fine with whatever or whoever comes along. They also both agree on Bailey being their lover full time, if or when she wants to be.

It's only been a day or two since that heavy conversation that events outside the suite begin to impinge on their blissful lazy existence. Tommy is out shopping when the phone in the suite begins to ring. Aden frowns, standing up to answer it. He knows it's not Tommy; she'd call his cell phone. There's only a few people who have the suite number; he picks up with a little **** in case it's someone he doesn't want to talk to. "Hello," he grunts.
