Interruptions

Caleb and Rachel approached her apartment door. As they got close, akward tensions seemed to rise. They both wanted to, and knew it was time to consumate their relationship.

“I... had a really good time Caleb...” Rachel spoke up, turning to face him, nervously.

Caleb smiled at her, noting the cute, subtle feckles dotting her face that he so adored. He stepped forward, and kissed her lips. She reciprocated, eagerly, and grinned as his hands began to wander. She leaned her body into his, inviting more of his affections. Calebs hands delicately brushed her boobs, caressing them, and she withdrew from the kiss, looking down as he cupped her breasts in his hands.

Her face turned serious, and she looked up into his eyes. She wanted him in that moment, more than anything.

"Caleb," she said softly, and almost, alluringly.

“Rachel...” - it was not the voice she was expecting.

“That voice...” Rachel said out loud, and pulled back from Caleb, confused.

“Come inside Rachel...” - ~flashes returned, images of the man from the other night.~

"Rachel?" Caleb spoke up, confused and concerned by her sudden distraction, as she looked behind her, obviously preoccupied by something.

“Are you okay?"

"Rachel?” He repeated.

Rachel pulled away. “Yeah...” she replied, but not sounding sure at all.

“I just... I don’t know if I’m ready...” “I... I was going to invite you in, but...”

“Give yourself to me, Rachel... leave the boy. He is irrelevant."

“Did I do something wrong Rachel? What is the matter?” Caleb asked.

“Nothing, I... I’m sorry! I just... I just have to go.” Rachel responded, quickly fumbling through her keys, but managed to open her door and enter. "I'm sorry..." she looked at him as she began to feel the tears forming in her eyes.

She closed the door quickly, without saying another word.

And clicked the lock shut.
