Interrogation

After the funeral, there is a private dinner with the two families which happens to be at her father's estate. They both notice how upset her father the duke is. And John was not close to his brother. So he would not shed a tear over his brother demise, but he is shocked that they would do it on the same day as the funeral.

Even though, his family are not at the same level and he merely nothing more than a bastard, he believes that either way there would be an evaluation. Even though, his family had won the rights to her, her children had chance to be the king of England even though it was small. His bother must have done something really awful to the duke. It is made worse that her uncle is the king of England.

After he meets duke and his wife, he finally understand the reason that Natalie looks so familiar. The duke's wife, Madeline, is former classmate that he met in grade school and actually saved her from drowning. When he came down for holidays during his youth, he would see her. He cannot believe his future wife's mother was girl that he saved along time ago. He tries to look away but she gives him a smile as he led into room with the duke and some of his advisors.

It would become a grueling interrogation. Natalie, is not permitted in the same room, but she would often peek into the room. Madeline and his step mother would try to get her to leave the entrance to the dining room.

The interview finally ended, as the the men disappeared with the duke and my father. Natalie joins me and she is very flirty with him. And his hand lightly touches her body, she merely gives him a smile.

After the dinner, his father comes near him and says, "Congratulations, you passed the interview and duke is actually please with your morals."

I see ten soldiers and ten nuns separate Natalie and John. They take us into different rooms opposite of each other in the estate. As he is escorted to his room. Inside the room, he is met with maids. They would help bathe him and dress him. He was not use to this kind of treatment but just gives in. After they left, he fell asleep and wonder what the next day would be like.
