Intermediate Summoning

You make your way to the class that really peaked your interest in the summer readings. You had often enjoyed video games in which you controlled a horde of minions in your youth but actually summoning creatures to do as you pleased was taking things to a level you never imagined. Of course your expectations were tempered, you knew there was no way you'd be capable of summoning a seductive succubus into your bed right off the bat but you were excited nonetheless.

It was the longest of your classes of the day as it included a back to back, lecture and lab portion. You mostly spent the lecture flipping through the Monster glossary, writing down your favorite potential summons. Finally it came time for the lab portion. The class was small, only twelve students, you were all given a five foot square in which you would trace your summoning circles with chalk. All the other students clumsily drew their circles, constantly looking to their texts for reassurances that they were doing it right. one impatient lad however scribbled his circle quickly and ended up summoning a baby one eyed troll that immediately lunged at his face. The professor ran to pull the cyclops off the poor boy as his muffled screams drew the attention of the rest of the class. You however concentrated on your circle. You worked with a little more focus than usual, maybe the Ashcroft girl's had actually gotten to you. Finally your circle was complete. You placed your palms in their designated locations and focused your mind on conjuring the creature you wished to summon.
