Interlude.

She was covered in sweat, dancing to some nameless tune with dozens of other people. Their faces were murky and their forms unclear, but the dance was undeniably sexual. She felt her long, curly hair grazing her cheeks as she undulated to the rhythm. Was she in a forest? A club? She couldn't tell, just as she couldn't tell who was dancing around her. She was lost in the pulsing beat, feeling her loins throb in time as one of the shapes danced closer to her. Heat was radiating from them and as they approached she could almost make out their features. They looked so familiar, like a close friend, but she just couldn't see them clearly.

They danced away and she quickly forgot about them. There was a sudden lurch and she was swept forward, the dancers forgotten. She felt her feet rise from the ground as though she was being sucked into a tornado. Objects swirled around her; she floated weightlessly. A coffee pot, a television. A bicycle. An oil painting of a tree frog, a floor lamp. Somehow she was motionless and flying through this void at the same time. She was enveloped in a lightless inkiness but could see the objects rushing around her.

Her feet gently touched the ground and she came to a standing position. The gusting ceased and she was once again alone in a void. A light behind her made her spin around and she saw a brilliant sun rising over a vast, level horizon. The ground was black and smooth as far as she could see. She took a step toward the daylight, holding up a hand to shield her eyes from the rays. She looked down to see she was completely nude. Her ample breasts and wide hips seemed to swell as she looked at them and she felt a thrill run down her spine. She was a woman.

Looking back up to the sun, she saw that it was now fully daylight. She hadn't realized it, but she was in a bedroom. Her bedroom? No, no, it was someone else's. Someone she knew. She just wasn't sure who it was or how she ended up here. It was a bedroom but also a storage room of some sort. She open the window to see an airport terminal with a woman waiting. The woman was waiting for her. The woman looked so familiar too, she just couldn't remember. She strained to think of who it was. Jay? Jane? Jenny? The woman opened her mouth to speak.

"Jay?" She looked around in confusion but the woman continued to address her. "Jay?" Who was Jay?

"Jay?"
