Head up the stairs and into my bedroom closing the door behind. Walking over to my desk I put my purse bag down and take out my phone. Notice notification from Uber to rate/tip. Click on it and rate 5 stars. For tip? Hmm “tip $50”. Normally I wouldn’t tip that much but considering what I did and she was cute. Also it helps in any cleaning she has to do. Put my phone down on the desk. Head into the closet and take off my shoes putting them back on the rack. Ah feels good to have those off. Walking back into my bedroom I turn and go into the bathroom. Heading in front of the sink I unbraid my hair. Then I grab my hair brush and comb my hair back out so it’s back to normal. Once done I put the brush back down in usual spot. Heading back into my bedroom the intercom comes on “dinner is ready so come on down “ mom’s voice says. Well I guess I didn’t miss dinner after all. Heading out the door and down the hall and down the stairs. When at the bottom of the stairs I head to the dining room. Mom and Dad is already there. Taking a seat and Penny comes in a minute after me. Guess no Susan tonight. Start eating. We have fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with buttermilk biscuits and butter. And a glass of soda. Not bad at all.

I actually have seconds of everything it’s that good. Helping to clean up after. As I am about to leave the kitchen “have a moment dear “ mom says “oh oh” I say to myself. “Sure mom what’s up” I say. “Robert called me a while ago and said how impressed he was on your negotiating skills “ mom says “really “ I say “yea but why were you at the club anyway as I thought you didn’t like going there “ mom asks “well they do have good drinks and the brownies are a bomb” I say. “Yes they are but that doesn’t explain why you were there talking to your uncle “ mom says “that was part of the school and school district fundraising that they do every Monday and they ask a student to join them as a representative of the school “ I say. Which is true so not lying there. “Ok but don’t they usually do all the talking “ mom asks “yes but Patrick asked me to speak when it seems like both sides were at a standstill “ I say. Which is also true. “Well he does know about your businesses “ mom says. “Seems as a business owner yourself you have the benefit of knowing what each side would want “ mom says “thanks mom” I say. “Your welcome “ mom says “you know we encourage you to earn your own money and having your own business which seems to have paid off” mom says. “Thanks “ I say blushing a little. “Your welcome “ mom says. “Maybe you can even help Penny with her business “ mom says “help her why” I say “well she your sister but also I hear she been a little down lately and maybe you can help bring her business back up” mom says “maybe not be automated like yours but maybe improve it some “ mom says “well I’ll look into it and see what can be done “ I say “that’s all I’m asking “ mom says “Well I won’t take anymore of your time tonight and just letting you know he called… so have a good night “ mom says “thanks and I will “ I say and then head up the stairs and down the hall and into my bedroom closing the door behind. Well if he mentioned about me being naked mom didn’t bring it up That is if he did. Which is a good thing. That would be another thing I would have to explain.

Helping my sister ugh. She is in web design. But here passion is art in all forms. Which I am good at art and can sell them. But my sister is way out of my league. Her art is amazing. . She has her art on various websites. Her computer art is out of this world good. Surprised a game company or something similar haven’t hired her yet. That would definitely put her name out there. Hmmm. The only one I know who knows computers is Betty. Wonder if she has any leads as to where she can start. Let’s find out. Getting my laptop open and turned on. Sign on. Go to email. Send to Betty Kim Type out what is going on with my sister and if she has any information to where my sister can start.

While waiting let’s see how Jen is doing. Calling from computer. She answers. We start talking about what happened after school as well as what happened during school. She knows who put mr skinner car on the roof but wouldn’t say their name. She has some friends that I don’t know and some of those I don’t want to know either. So I didn’t push the issue. She actually did her homework already and was getting ready to watch a movie before I called. Which is actually fine because I have to catch up and do my homework. Going to do that fundraiser put me behind a couple hours. Saying good night to Jen so she can watch the movie before bed.

Just after Jen hangs up a email notification comes up. From Betty. Let’s see what she has to say. “Yeah I know some people who do artwork for companies. Mostly in the gaming industry. Your sister around to talk right now as I have some free time “ just then I hear some tapping on my bedroom door. Which is strange because no one knocks on our door. Getting up and going to the door. Opening it and see Penny standing there. “You have a minute “ she says “yeah …you want to come in” I say. “Sure why not “ she says and walks into my room. “Still a bit girly girly” she says looking around “I know you didn’t come here to comment on my decoration so what’s going on “ I say. “Mom mentioned about what happened at the club and suggested I talk to you for advice on my business “ Penny says “but not sure how YOU can help me “ she says. Hmm what timing. Must be fate. “Actually I might know someone who can help you “ I say “one of your lame friends “ she says “actually not quite “ I say as I walk over to my desk and pick up my phone. Go to contacts and Betty. Call. “Hello “ she says. “Hey Betty it’s Cindy and I have my sister here … you mind if I put you on speaker “ I say “sure go ahead “ Betty says. Hitting the speaker option on the phone “Hello Penny “ Betty says through the speaker. “Hello “ Penny says. “Cindy has mentioned about your situation and I know some people who might be able to help “ Betty says “has she now “ Penny says looking at me. “I would like some more information though like what websites you currently display your artwork and your names you use “ Betty says. “Ugh fine” Penny says. Penny starts naming sites and her names on them. “Wait a minute your name is (she says the name) on (she says the website)” Betty says. “Yeah why” Penny asks “people been trying to find you to hire you “ Betty says. “Yeah right like for basic stuff probably “ Penny says. “Actually no “ Betty says. “Hold on let me do a three way call “ Betty says. “Hello “ another voice comes on. “Hi (she says the name of the person) I found (Penny name on the website)” Betty says. Which I see Penny eyes open wide when Betty mentioned the person name like she knows who this is. “That’s great news…where is she “ he says. Poking Penny shoulder. “I’m right here sir” Penny says looking at me. “Ah ok well we been trying to find you as we have various projects that could use your expert artwork for “ he says. They spend the next 15 minutes talking and going through stuff. Penny accepts his offer to work for him. Which is more than she is getting now on all her artwork business. “I’ll get working on it right away “ Penny says. “Let’s keep in touch and talk to you later “ he says before he hangs up. “Thanks Betty your a life saver “ I say “your welcome and have a good night “ Betty says before hanging up.

“Well I guess you do have some friends who actually can help “ Penny says as she starts walking towards the door. “Oh by the way I did enjoy that kiss at the convention but that’s between us” Penny says before leaving the room and closing the door behind her. Oh wow she actually admitted that she liked the kiss. Speechless. Well at least she has work now. Which was the main reason for the phone call. So that’s two people I helped today financially. Well three if you include the Uber driver.

Well it’s getting late and I still have stuff to do. Heading to the desk. Close the laptop and plug in the phone. Then grabbing the purse bag and start working on the homework. Surprisingly not that much for a Monday. Getting the homework done and plug the tablet in. Need that for tomorrow. Don’t have much to clean up tonight. So head to the washroom and use the toilet and just get cleaned up a bit. Nothing major as it is getting late. Head back into the bedroom. Unplug the phone as that’s ready to go. But have to wait till morning for the tablet. Heading to bed and under the covers. Time for sleep.
