Inspect the chess set

As you take a closer look at the chess set, you try to move one of the pieces but realise they're stuck in place. Examining the board more closely, you begin to prod and rub your fingers along the sides, searching for any clues. As your fingers trace the edges, you notice a panel on the side that feels a bit wobbly. Intrigued, you apply a bit more pressure, and it shifts slightly under your touch.

Despite the initial impression, you notice that the chess pieces aren't completely immobile. It feels as though they're locked in place, perhaps part of a mechanism or puzzle that needs to be solved. Your curiosity is piqued, and you sense that the key to unlocking the board might be hidden within the wobbly panel or somewhere else in the room.
