Inspect the back of the girl's neck (lz)

Plum has nearly forgotten her phone, caught between nearly insatiable curiosity and concern. She'll leave her phone for the moment. Plum approached the girl, with more confidence this time, and laid her hand gingerly on the back of her neck. The familiar buzzing sound returned, but the girl shifted slightly and clenched her fists, curling herself up tighter.

Resolving to work faster, Plum ran her fingers across the girl's neck, searching for some sort of seam or fastener, but even if there was one there before, any trace of it had all but disappeared. She tugged at the fabric of the suit, feeling the latex reluctantly pull away from the girl's neck, before slipping out of her hands and snapping back against her skin.

She pressed her finger into the girl's neck and tried to wrap the latex around her digit, hoping to gain some sort of purchase against it. Twisting her finger, she pulled a bundle of the fabric into a loop around her finger and pulled, realizing with some discomfort that the latex was shrinking around her wrapped finger.

Before long, there wasn't enough fabric to go around and the latex snapped back into place against the girl's skin. Almost as if to comfort the girl, Plum gently laid a hand on the girl's face, only to realize that there was some sort of rigid helmet covering her head, denying her even this single act of compassion.

Plum let go of the girl and waited for the suit's buzzing to die down, deciding to let her take a break while she thought up a smarter way to approach the situation.
