Insidious changes

“You won’t remember a thing, Mr. Rogers,” Dr. Bender said, placing a gas mask over Captain America’s mouth. “You’ll think you are making the decisions.”

With that Steve blacked out. He woke up back in his room at Avengers HQ. The **** were finally leaving his system but he felt worried. He was on a mission, he knew, but the details were lost to him. He had a sudden need to make sure everything was alright about himself.

He began checking himself for any injuries or sign of foul play.
