What's next?

Inner Reflection

Jace and Skylar came into Ms. Kayla Roberts’ Chemistry class together way past the start of class, and Anastasia Prescott took in their appearances and gave a knowing sigh. Jace looked to be on cloud nine, and Skylar had a self-satisfied little smirk on her face. Skylar’s long blonde locks were also significantly messier than Ana figured Skylar would ever normally allow.

The pair of them had definitely been up to something, and from the snickers behind her, Ana figured it was painfully obvious to just about everybody. Coach Roberts stood up to walk over to them, and Anastasia looked over interestedly, wondering if she’d see the high and mighty Wayne heiress brought down. Coach didn’t exactly look pleased, but Anastasia noticed how much her gaze softened when she looked at Jace. Ana didn’t mind Jace wriggling out of punishment, but Skylar getting off scot-free pissed her off.

Ana strained her ears, and could just about hear the quiet conversation.

“Skylar, I expect better from the vice captain of my squad.” Kayla was saying, and Anastasia smirked down at her paper, knowing the vice captain remark would rub Skylar the wrong way just like it always did. Anastasia had been shocked when she had gotten the captain spot this year. Not because she didn’t think she’d do a good job, but she had thought there was no way that Skylar Wayne wouldn’t have rigged things in her favor already.

That moment of their previous captain, Maple Chester, handing Anastasia the captain uniform at the end of junior year had been one of the best days of Ana’s life so far. She had taken way too long to come up because she’d been sitting there stunned that Maple had said her name and not Skylar’s. Skylar had been equally shocked, Ana could tell, as the blonde had already been halfway out of her seat. Audrey had had to physically shove Ana up towards the front to get her going. Ana had been smiling broadly the entire rest of the day.

“Sorry, Coach. Just got caught up in celebrating.” Skylar said cheerfully. Anastasia wished somebody would take that obnoxious overconfidence away from her.

“I’m sorry for being late, Kayla. It won’t happen again.” Jace said, and Anastasia glanced up at Jace. She knew that Coach was his aunt’s best friend, and it was probably no surprise he used her first name, but the familiarity still threw her off.

“Better not. Sit down, you two.” Coach sighed, gesturing towards the front row. Jace and Skylar came to sit down, and Ana glanced over at Jace beside her.

“What are we up to?” Jace asked her, and she laughed softly.

“Maybe you shouldn’t be skipping class to do dirty things with the almighty princess over there.” Anastasia said, glaring past Jace at the green-eyed blonde who wiggled her fingers at Ana in response.

“It’s been a while.” Jace shrugged with a big grin on his face. Skylar must have really gone all out for him, Ana figured.

“Uh huh. Well, we’re doing reports on the lab from last week.” Anastasia said, lifting her paper off the desk for Jace to see.

“Oh, great. Thanks Ana, you’re the best.” Jace said.

“The best might be pushing it.” Skylar chimed in, glaring at Ana.

“Seems accurate to me.” Anastasia shrugged.

“We’re going to need to separate the three of you, aren’t we?” Coach Roberts groaned, walking up.

“I think there’s an empty seat over there by the door that you could sit in, Ana.” Skylar said sweetly. The sickly kind of sweet that left you feeling ill, in Ana’s opinion.

“Actually, why don’t you take that spot, Skylar? I think you’ll focus a lot better separated from Jace.” Coach said, and Ana felt like bursting out laughing, but she managed to keep her face neutral.

“What? I focus fine!” Skylar protested.

“Mm, I don’t think so.” Coach shook her head, long blonde waves bouncing.

Skylar looked like she wanted to argue more, but she grumpily grabbed her bag and stormed off.

“I trust the two of you can get your work done?” Coach raised her eyebrow.

“We’ll be angels.” Jace grinned.

“I’ll believe it when I see it.” Coach grinned at Jace, and Jace grinned back at her.

Coach went back to her desk, and Jace glanced sideways at Anastasia, who raised her eyebrows at him.

“Did I miss anything important about this report?” Jace asked her.

“Yup.” Ana nodded.

“Do you think you could tell me what it was?” Jace asked hopefully.

“Depends. Are you gonna tell Skylar what I tell you?” Anastasia asked, propping her chin on her hand.

“If she asks, yeah.” Jace nodded.

“Ooh, then, no, I probably can’t tell you.” Anastasia sighed in feigned disappointment.

“You and her really have it out for each other, huh?” Jace asked.

“Yup.” Ana said, rolling her eyes. “I’m sure she’s told you all kinds of shit about me.”

“I’ve heard a lot, yeah, but I don’t believe most of it.” Jace shrugged.

“Seriously?” Ana blinked.

“Oh yeah. Skylar’s great, but she’s definitely got a flair for the dramatic. Plus, Dana always says you’re a great captain.” Jace shrugged again.

Ana was stunned at that, and she felt a rush of warmth towards Jace’s twin sister. Dana had improved a ton so far this year, and it was gratifying to hear that Dana appreciated her.

“Well, Skylar just can’t handle it’s not her in charge.” Ana said.

“It’s not one of her strong suits.” Jace nodded. “I’ve told her as much, too. She’s a little bossy.”

“Very bossy.” Ana agreed vehemently.

“Hey, you two. Less chatting, more reporting.” Coach Roberts spoke up.

“Sorry Kay-, uh, Ms. Roberts.” Jace nodded.

Jace and Anastasia sat quietly for a minute, before Ana leaned over towards him.

“Alright, here’s what you missed.” she said quietly.

———

“Jace, stay behind for me, would you?” Kayla spoke up as the bell rang and the students all started packing up.

“Sure.” Jace nodded. He glanced sideways at Ana and nodded at her. “See ya.”

“Yeah, see ya.” Ana waved, and Jace couldn’t stop himself from watching Anastasia walk away, her insane ass stretching those jean shorts and bouncing as she walked. That sexy Latina was stunning.

As the classroom cleared out, Jace put his stuff back in his bag and put it on his desk as he approached Kayla.

“Is something wrong?” Jace asked.

“Not really.” Kayla said, and she came around the desk to meet him. Jace drank in the sight of his aunt’s sexy best friend. Kayla’s blonde hair fell in elegant waves, her blue eyes sparkled as she looked at him, and her large breasts were showing a hint of cleavage in the top she wore. It was a short sleeved blue choker top with a cut out beneath the choker that showed off her chest and a bit of tasteful cleavage. On her lower half was a snug pair of white pants showing off her athletic lower half.

Kayla embraced him, her arms sliding around his neck, and Jace responded in kind, his arms slipping around her waist. She looked up at him with those pretty light blue eyes of hers, and Jace found himself leaning in. Their lips met in a warm, passionate kiss, and it was hardly their first one. They’d made out at the truth or dare game a few months back, too.

Jace couldn’t resist letting his hand drop lower to cup and squeeze Kayla’s toned ass. Kayla made a rather sexy noise, some kind of purr, and Jace definitely enjoyed hearing it come from his sexy teacher’s plump lips.

“God, we should not be doing this.” Kayla gasped, laughing softly.

“Definitely not.” Jace agreed, squeezing her ass again.

“So… does this encourage you to not be late for my class just because some horny teenager tells you to?” Kayla raised her eyebrow.

“Uhhh…” Jace blinked, caught off-guard.

“You really hurt my feelings being late for my class.” Kayla made a sexy sort of pouting face. “Here I thought I was your favorite teacher.”

“You absolutely are.” Jace assured her, and kissed her again. Kayla hummed against his mouth, her hand lifting up to cup the back of his head.

“Good.” Kayla murmured. “I like seeing you sitting in the front row of my class.”

“Trust me, I like sitting so close to you, too.” Jace grinned. “The view is amazing.”

Kayla batted her eyes at him, a playful smile on her face.

“Don’t you forget it, Jace.” Kayla purred, and Jace liked the husky way she said his name.

“Trust me, I’ll be here bright and early tomorrow morning.” Jace promised.

“Mmm, good. If you get here early enough, we could do something like this again.” Kayla said, and leaned up to kiss him again. “Now get out of here, my next class will be coming in soon.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Jace smiled. He grabbed his bag off the desk and walked towards the exit of the class. He glanced back over his shoulder to see Kayla leaning back against her desk, biting her lip.

———

Later in the day, Jace walked into art class, one of his favorite classes of the day. Not just because the sexy teacher running the class was his girlfriend Olivia Vane, currently looking fantastic in a green sundress that was fairly modest, but still showed off a decent bit of her creamy legs, and Jace wasn’t sure there was a dress on Earth that could hide Olivia’s magnificent tits. Unfortunately for Jace, other students had already arrived in class, so he couldn’t give Olivia the greeting he wanted to, but her green eyes met his teal ones as he walked past her, and she gave him a warm, loving smile.

Jace walked to his usual table, and sat down in his usual spot beside Valerie Barnes, who glanced at him a bit more coldly than usual. He wouldn’t say she was pissed, but she was definitely unhappy.

“You alright?” Jace asked the dark-haired girl, surprised.

“Oh, yeah, I’m just peachy.” Val muttered. Jace thought back to last night, and realized it was quite possible it was him Val was unhappy with. Not just quite possible actually, but likely, he’d guess. She had started the party happy to see him, clearly, jumping into his arms and kissing him, but then after that, he’d barely spoken to Val the entire rest of the party. He was too busy fucking her eldest sister, going to the store with Katherine, and then coming back to the paradise that was the entire party topless. Then, to make matters worse, she’d asked to spend time with him and he had rejected her to instead hop into that fateful hot tub where he’d fucked both Claire and Val’s mother, while his own mother encouraged him.

Thankfully, Val didn’t know about Ariel or Rachel or Claire, or she’d be really pissed.

“Look, I’m really sorry about last night.” Jace told her quietly. “I should have spent more time with you.”

“Oh, you think?” Val challenged. Her blue eyes were like icy flames at the moment, but Jace saw that Val wasn’t just angry, she was hurt.

“Val-” Jace started, but she shook her head.

“No, Jace Holland, you listen to me. We started this school year very close. I mean, you know what almost happened when you came over.” Val told him quietly. “I- I don’t know what I did to make you stop caring about me so much, but we haven’t done practically anything since then. At the car wash, I thought things might be getting better, but then it was another three weeks of basically the same thing.”

“I’m sorry.” Jace said, and he did genuinely mean it. It hurt him to see Val this upset, but he also knew she was absolutely correct. “I… maybe we just aren’t meant to be. Besides, you went with Evan last night, so… I hope he treats you better.”

“I went with Evan to piss you off, idiot. We didn’t even do anything. I just like teasing him.” Val huffed.

“Oh.” was all Jace could say, but Val just shook her head.

“I’m not gonna keep pestering you to spend time with me, clearly you have other stuff going on. Don’t let me stop you.” Val said, her eyes stormy as she stood up from her stool and walked across the room to sit down next to Savannah Winchester.

Jace felt like a piece of shit as he stared at the now empty table he sat at. The Blackson siblings were who he and Val usually sat with, but they hadn’t shown up yet.

Why was he always involved with so many different girls? It had clearly hurt Val, and it might have hurt Brooklyn, too. He still remembered the sadness in her brown eyes as she told him she just needed some time to think. He had fun being with all these different girls, all the flirting, the fucking, however it happened, but clearly the girls had a bit less fun being juggled like that. Olivia didn’t seem to mind him being with others, and maybe he’d been a bit too selfish, thinking other girls would have the same mentality.

In his head was a list of girls a mile long who he’d been flirting with recently, and he couldn’t figure out why he kept going with all of them. He had the kind of sexy girlfriend most men would kill for, but too often he was thoughtlessly eager to jump into bed with somebody else…

Jace glanced over his shoulder at Olivia, who was standing near the door to her classroom, and he sighed. Somehow, almost every girl in his life was somebody he’d been flirting with or doing something with recently. He didn’t particularly want to give things up with any of them, but also was suddenly very conscious of just how insane he had been since this school year had started.

He supposed having Skylar Wayne fucking you frequently would do insane things to anybody’s ego, and all the other women into him sure didn’t help that issue at all.

Jace had no idea what to do, but when he glanced over at Val, he knew he had to do better.
