Inevitability

The big night had come, Halloween night, the night when people got to be usually they weren't and be who they are all in the same evening. At least that is how Jodi had already seen Halloween. Adam stood silently for a minute listening to Jodie crying before he finally collected himself enough to speak. "How long?"

When Jodie stepped out of Adam's office she realized all eyes were on her. Walking sheepishly through the crowd she saw Lauren had gone, possibly to comfort Eric. Tiffany stopped Jodie. "Is it true?
