Indecisive

“That’s no question for a lady,” you say, reaching out to close the magazine.

“A lady?” Roxy says, smirking as she tosses the magazine aside.

“Yes,” you say, challenging her with your gaze.

She laughs, then sits on the bed. “Let’s wait for your friend to get back. I know some ways to kill time.”

“Roxy! Something bad might have happened to her today!” You spread your hands, giving her an incredulous look. “She is not coming home to us in her bed.”

“Sounds like a pretty good thing to come home to,” Roxy says innocently, looking at her nails. “She’s cute, right?”

“She’s just your type.”

“Then what’s the problem?”

You shake your head in disbelief. This girl is ridiculous.

“I get it,” Roxy says, grinning at you. “You’re all talk.”

“Roxy, it’s almost time for dinner. I’m hungry. It’s still light out. My friend is…” you trail off, gesturing at the room. “Missing? I don’t know. And I need a bath.”

“I’ll get my rubber duck.”

“There’s the door,” you say, pointing at the window.

“Seriously?”

“Yup,” you say, folding your arms.

“All right. You aren’t the only cute girl in Gurlberg,” she says with a sigh, getting to her feet. She climbs back out the window, but turns back.

“It was nice seeing you,” you say, giving her a little wave and a smile.

She snorts, then cocks her head and gives you that lusty look. “You aren’t going to kiss me goodbye?”

You have to admit, you find her attractive. Maybe it’s because she’s the opposite of you in so many ways. But you like her carefree smile and her earthy scent.

And you’ve always loved tall girls.
