Inanna's light reveals all.

Night came quickly in the desert as Jessica prepared camp and ate dinner. Being far away from man-made light sources meant the moon stars quickly illuminated the sky. Inspired by the nocturnal beauty of the oasis and rejuvenated by her meal, Jessica decided to return to the ritual site and reattempt solving the puzzle.

As she approached the site, she noticed it was still illuminated, this time by the moon and stars and that's when the realization hit her like a ton of bricks. Inanna, like many fertility goddesses, was believed to be the planet venus! Inanna's light must be the planet shining in the night sky! How did she not see it before! She resumed her kneeling pose at the door, certain it would open.

Still nothing. Frustrated now, Jessica racked her brain for any detail she might of missed. She repeated the inscription both inside her mind and out loud. What detail was she missing....

And then a thought entered her mind with a shudder.

"Bathe yourself in the light"

The woman in the etching was naked, save for a collar.

It didn't make any logical sense. How could a mechanism from the bronze age identify a woman as naked instead of clothed?

After a moment, Jessica rose decisively her mind a mix of nerves and excitement, both at the thought of another discovery and at the thought of giving herself up to the collar again. Logic didn't seem to apply in Inanna's temples.

She removed her ball cap, allowing her long brown hair to fall gracefully around her shoulders. Her hiking boots and socks came next, her bare feet bathed in the moonlight contacting the cold stone. With a deep breath in anticipation of what was to come, she reached for the scarf concealing the collar and tossed it aside. It glowed eerily in the moonlight, but nothing else happened. Either the power of the collar was spent, or it was content to leave her be. She would have to press on of her own volition.

"There's no one around" she told herself. "If you're wrong you put your clothes back on and try something else."

Steeled by this thought, she reached for the hem of her tank top, and pulled it over her head in one swift movement, revealing her sports bra to the cold desert air. It quickly followed, her breasts bounding free.

The collar began to hum softly, almost as if it was pleased at this development.

This quickened Jessica's movements, wanting to retain control of her actions as much as she could. She quickly moved to the waistband of her shorts, and pulled them and her panties down in one fluid motion, and kicked them free from her feet.

She resumed her kneeling pose, the collar humming steadily as she did so. Almost instantly the door began to move, but it did so agonizingly slowly. Jessica maintained her kneeling position while she waited, not wanting to interrupt the mechanism.

This gave her an opportunity to consider her physical state. Her nipples were erect, but she could blame that on the cold. The wet spot she left on the stone as she rose to enter the door, however, was harder to explain away. Whether it was because of the collar or not, being naked in this secret temple and the anticipation of what might await her beautiful frame behind the door was turning her on.
