Chapter 26 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

How does Mackenzie handle the most awkward introduction of her life?

In typical embarrassing fashion

The two neighbors both stood there for a few long moments of complete shock and bewilderment. Mackenzie had just a scrap of fabric to shield her nudity and Alex was drenched from the downpour outside. Then, they both shouted almost in unison.

"What are you doing here?!" Mackenzie cried.

"What are you wearing?!" Alex cried back.

Another long beat passed before they both fumbled for words.

"It's just... I don't... Um..." Mackenzie tried to say as her brain practically short-circuited. Winding up exposed in front of Brandon all day had been bad enough, but now she was getting seen by Alex too! Of all the people, why did it have to be him?!

"You were... I mean... Uh..." Alex tried too, with no better results, as his own brain practically overheated at the gorgeous sight before him. He'd already seen Mackenzie in the nude a few times that afternoon, but now he was getting an up close and personal view! Of all the people, it had somehow been her!

A forceful bluster of wind **** its way through the open doorway, sending the door slamming further open into the interior wall of Mackenzie's house. The wind whipped past both of them, shoving Alex further into the house. Mackenzie got the worst of it, though. The relentless **** of nature rushed around her, wrenching the ruined skirt from her frantic grip. In less than a second, she'd somehow found her humiliating nightmare-come-true getting even worse. She was now naked, well and truly naked, standing right in front of her long time crush!

"C-c-close the door!" Mackenzie shouted over the howling wind, trying to cover both her chest and her pussy before Alex had the chance to see anything.

"R-right!" Alex shouted back. He turned around and began shoving the door closed, trying to coalesce the mental picture of what he'd seen during that chaotic, blurry moment. A tantalizingly brief glimpse of two pink nubs, and the equally brief flash of a red landing strip...

Alex managed to shut the front door, and the room suddenly felt practically silent. The storm still raged outside, but compared to what it had just been, the ambient volume sounded practically muted.

"Don't turn around," Mackenzie quickly blurted out. "And... t-turn off your flashlight."

"Okay, sure," Alex said quietly, still facing the closed door just a foot in front of him. He complied and turned it off, plunging the powerless house back into darkness. It wasn't actually pitch black out, but it was dark enough that neither of them would be able to see anything. At least until their eyes adjusted...

"Mackenzie are you okay?!" Alex asked, dutifully still facing away from the nude woman.

"I..." she began, not entirely sure how to answer that question. "I'm fine, I think... Physically at least."

Alex let out an audible sigh of relief. When he'd seen her struggling and shouting on the video call, he'd been worried she was hurt! He was about to say as much when he suddenly remembered to keep things a bit more vague.

"On the call, I heard you shouting 'Get over here!' and I thought you were hurt or in trouble or something!"

"Huh? I didn't say..." Mackenzie thought about it for a bit, and was surprised to find her mind growing a bit clouded. Maybe she was beginning to feel the effects of those two beers more than she'd realized... That was right, though. She had shouted something like that when she was trying to pull her trapped skirt free. "Oh. I guess I did..."

"I'm just relieved you're alright," Alex said. After a few moments of awkward silence, he added, "So... what's with the, uh, outfit?"

"I'm! It's! Just! Uh! It!" Mackenzie began panicking and stuttering as she was brought back to the nude present. After a few moments of failing to come up with anything, though, she simply sighed and said, "It's a looong story..."

"Oh?" Alex said, unable to keep a slight chuckle out of his voice. "Must be a pretty good one if it winds up with you just holding a hand towel as you answer the door."

For a split second, Alex worried that he'd gone a bit too far. Based on what she'd said during their call, Mackenzie had had a really stressful day, after all. But his worries faded as Mackenzie giggled at what he'd said.

"That was actually just a skirt ripped in half," she said, the **** helping to decrease her own inhibitions.

"What?" Alex said in disbelief. "Now I've gotta know!"

"Maybe I'll tell it to you sometime," Mackenzie chuckled, keeping the playful tone in her voice.

"How about... now?" Alex softly asked. "I'm not exactly eager to head back out into that storm any time soon..."

Mackenzie froze.

"After you get dressed of course!" Alex quickly amended.

"I..." Mackenzie began, every bit of playfulness she'd been feeling instantly turning back to hesitance. That was the problem right there, wasn't it. She couldn't get dressed! Not in any sort of reliable clothes, at least. The handful of garments she'd gathered were all damaged or unreliable in some way.

"I was just thinking that maybe we could, y'know, ride out the storm together. Maybe I'll even take you up on one of those ENF beers you're so crazy about," he chuckled. "At least until the power comes back on?"

Mackenzie was sorely tempted to say no. First of all, she didn't trust her current outfit to hold up for very long. And she really didn't want to wind up exposed in front of Alex. But then again, she already had wound up naked in front of him. Just for a moment, sure, but it had already happened. The worst was surely over, right?

Plus, maybe Alex would be able to help her dislodge the basement door. Then she could get herself properly dressed! In fact, Mackenzie's buzzed mind rationalized, having Alex stay was likely the fastest way to getting her clothes back!

"You know what?" Alex said, clearly sensing Mackenzie's hesitance. "Stupid idea. Forget I mention-"

"Okay," Mackenzie said.

"I... wait, what?"

"I said okay," she giggled. "I could actually use your help getting the basement door unstuck anyway. Just, like you said, let me get dressed first."

"Uh, sure." Alex was mostly just surprised Mackenzie had agreed to let him stay, especially given her state of dress when he'd entered.

"Um, you can turn around when you hear the bathroom door shut, okay?" she said. Alex assented and Mackenzie turned to head back to her living room. By that point, her eyes had adjusted enough to make out the familiar shapes of her furniture but she still used her outstretched hands to feel her way along as well. Watching where she was going, she had no idea if Alex was actually staying true to his word or if he was covertly watching her. After all, if her eyes had adjusted, then it stood to reason that his had too. He could be watching her bare ass saunter away at that very moment! Mackenzie gulped as she imagined the scenario, but she didn't move her hands to cover her behind in any way...

As she approached her living room table, Mackenzie suddenly remembered the broken beer bottle scattered across the rug. She turned back to let Alex know about the broken glass, and was both relieved and perhaps just a tiny bit disappointed to see him still facing the wall.

"Alex..." she called, getting his attention.

"Yeah?" he called back, instinctively turning his head towards her.

"There's br-" she began, before remembering that she was, in fact, now semi-discernable in the darkness, and still quite naked. "EEP!" she squeaked as she hastily crouched down into a ball, wrapping her arms around her torso.

"Sorry!" Alex called, whipping his head back towards the wall again. "Sorry, that's right you said to wait until I heard the door shut! My bad!"

"I-it's okay," Mackenzie said, slowly and cautiously standing back up. "I kind of forgot too... I just wanted to let you know I broke a beer bottle during that insane thunder before. So there's broken glass around the table. Be careful."

"Got it," he said.

She quickly gathered up her flashlight, phone, tank top, shorts, bikini top, thong, string, scissors, and safety pins. Then, her arms full with what she hoped would amount to an outfit, Mackenzie made her way towards her downstairs bathroom. A thought popped into her mind, giving her pause.

"You didn't... see anything just now, did you?" she asked, blushing as she did so.

Alex panicked for a brief moment. He had, in fact, seen quite a bit of her in his brief glimpse into the darkness. His mind struggled to come up with a way to skirt the truth without outright lying.

"No, uh, nothing I haven't seen before!" he said, the words tumbling out of his mouth.

"Oh, g-good," Mackenzie said. She wasn't exactly sure what he'd meant by that, but she took it as Alex's flustered way of saying that he hadn't seen her naked body in the darkness. With that, she entered the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

How do the clothing repairs go?
