In the neighbourhood

The next couple of days were relatively normal. I fell back into my work routine and Lily had picked up a few extra shifts at work so we hadn't spent much time together. I hadn't seen or heard from Jake in a couple of days, so that was an improvement. I'd still been swapping texts with Abby, but just as friends. She was a sweet girl and we had a lot in common.

It was Thursday evening and I'd just finished for the day. I'd decided to pop in on Lily on my way home. She was working again tonight so I thought I'd just go say hello, maybe stay for a drink. I pulled up outside the Clock Bar and parked my car. I'd been spending way too much time at this place, I thought to myself.

I entered the familiar building. It was busier than I expected punctuated by the laughter and clinking of glasses. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Lily stood behind the bar, pouring drinks efficiently and gracefully. Her attire consisted of a black shirt and short black skirt that accentuated her figure beautifully. Her hair was tied loosely back, allowing a few strands to fall delicately against her neck. I was always captivated by her beauty.

“Hi Alex! It's so good to see you!” Lily exclaimed cheerfully upon spotting me. I walked over to the bar and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. I ordered a drink and sat at the bar, chatting for a few minutes. She occasionally had to pause the conversation to serve a customer but it was nice to spend some time together. Abby came out from the back rooms and walked over to Lily and I. I smiled at her, holding her gaze a little too long. I almost forgot I was sat with Lily."James wants to see you," she announced to Lily, her words cutting through my reverie.

Lily groaned, rolling her eyes. "Again?"

Abby just shrugged in response. Lily marched towards the back rooms to see James in his office. I turned my attentions to Abby, "it's good to see you" I said smiling.

"Thank you, you too!" she replied pleasantly.

I wanted to ask her if she knew anything about the reason why James wanted to see Lily but I figured that would only make her uncomfortable.

"You know, you could come see me sometime, outside of this place" Abby suggested, a hint of flirtatiousness in her tone. I laughed lightly, considering her proposal. "You never know, might happen" I teased back, not wanting to commit to anything, but definitely open to the idea.

Abby reached out and took my hand, gently squeezing it. "Abby, Lily might come back," I started but she cut me off, leaning in closer. "She won't be back for a while," she whispered. Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she looked directly into mine.

It set off something inside of me. "I think you need a break," I said with a gentle smile.

Abby went to get Laura to cover the bar then we went out to the smoking area, we walked a little further to a quiet alley where we were alone.

The atmosphere shifted dramatically, becoming charged with electric excitement. This was new territory for me.

"This isn't the first time that your Lily has been in trouble with James," Abby observed, her eyes gleaming as she met mine. "He's been riding her pretty hard" she added coolly. "Do you ever wonder why?" She pressed, studying my reaction intently.

My heart rate quickened, and a sudden surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins. What did she mean?

How would I know? Intrigued by Abby's statement, I fumbled for words. Finally, I managed to murmur, "Well, she's usually able to handle herself. They seem to have a complicated relationship." Abby shook her head slightly, sending curls falling across her shoulders. "No, it's more than that. You should look into it more closely." My brow furrowed as I tried to process her suggestion. How could I look into it without coming off as intrusive or nosy?

She leaned in close, bringing her soft lips near to mine. Gently, I cupped her cheek, guiding her towards me. Our lips touched softly, exchanging light, tentative kisses. Something stirred deep within me as our embrace intensified. Abby placed her hands around my waist, drawing me even closer.

We were lost in the moment, kissing passionately, our desire growing stronger by the second. My hands found their way up her shirt, exploring the smooth skin of her back, sending waves of anticipation coursing through both of us.

We were brought back to reality by the sound of my phone ringing. With a guilty start, I realized it was probably Lily calling. "Uh oh," I muttered under my breath, breaking the kiss. I stepped away, reaching for my phone. "Sorry," I apologized, trying to regain my composure.

It was Lily asking where I was. "Everything's fine here, just hanging out with Abby. Did it go okay?" I answered, trying to feign nonchalance.

Lily hesitated briefly. "James said I should call, tell you we were going to be a while longer." Lily's voice sounded tired and strained. She sounded out of breath. "James is on my back right now, but I'll deal with him."

I paused before answering, taking a deep breath to steady my nerves. "Listen, just take care of yourself and everything will be fine," I comforted her, attempting to project confidence in her ability to handle whatever lay ahead.

There was a silent moment as Lily took in my words, processing them. She sighed softly, "Thanks, Alex. I love you," then she moaned softly. Which was weird.

"I love you too, Lily," I responded, trying to sound reassuring. Abby was waiting patiently in front of me and she grabbed my cock as I said it. It made me jump and I lost my words. Lily didn't seem to notice.
