Where does Nicole come out? Is there anyone there?

In the middle of town

Cautiously, Nicole kept walking. She held her arms in front of herself as the transparent dress clung to her skin. She squinted as she finally reached sunlight after a long time walking around in the dim cave.

She climbed up stone steps, covering her eyes with one arm and reaching out with the other to avoid bumping into anything as she ascended into the bright. The wind whistled in her ears, and she could definitely hear something. It was muffled over the sound of stone rubbing against itself.

She took a step out onto concrete, and peered out over her arm. It took a second for her eyes to adjust, and a second more to fully digest what she was seeing. Or rather, who was seeing her as good as naked in this so-called vestment.

She was in town. A handful of people were on the street, just casually walking, evidently not expecting a nude redhead to come climbing up out of the ground. Nicole yelped, and tried to cover up with her arms.

She turned around, hoping to run back down into the tunnel, but it had closed up behind her. She'd only succeeded in turning her back on the street. Breathless, rather than turning around she decided to keep running the other way and hope she found shelter soon. The see-through dress whipped up in the breeze behind her.
