In the middle of a battle at a supervillain’s lair

The sound of gunfire and shouts could be heard from the inside of a warehouse on the edge of New York City, the building itself looked completely abandoned, from the outside that is. On the inside, it was far from it, high-tech machinery, priceless equipment, weapons and products were situated all around.

Of course, they were somewhat outdone by the rain of bullets that practically coated every surface in the warehouse at this point. Several men and women were discarded on the floor, a good majority of them unlikely to be walking for quite some time. Laura Kinney, the All-New Wolverine had done her best not to permanently injure the mercenaries of course, but it was hard to do when about thirty people were hunting you through a facility in body armour and wielding guns that were almost the same size as the short mutant.

After getting a tip from Jean Grey that this could be a possible hiding place for the wanted fugitive - Mystique she had went ahead to check the place out, truthfully, the blue-skinned mutant’s location was only a hunch on the telepath’s part, it could be any villain holed up in the base, but based on what she was seeing, Laura knew atleast something was happening here that shouldb’t of been. Taking out the last guard with a roundhouse kick, the Wolverine counted her blessings.

She had a tendency to outlast her costume on many missions, thanks to her healing, often returning to the Xavier Institute in tattered scraps, or even worse than that. She would never live down the time she brought Lady Deathstrike back to base in nothing but a pair of pink panties after the villain had shredded her clothing to scraps. Thankfully she had played this mission stealthily enough to avoid such things this far, although the feral girl had no idea what was coming.

Still, finally the new Wolverine approached what looked to be the only door in the building she hadn’t kicked or snuck her way inside of, and took a deep breath, bracing herself, if there truly was a villain in this base, it would be in here. The question remained though.
