In the boss' office

"Boss, we need to talk."

All three of his employees spoke at the same time. Then, all were sheepishly silent.

Richard looked in turn at each of them.

Claire was the most affected by whatever was going on. She was a little too tall to be Zoe. Her body language was not perfect, either. A lifetime of sass and introversion gave a little bit of edge to the sales team member's presence. Zoe's positive confidence did not seem a natural fit on Claire; Richard could tell she was not as calm as she let on about the changes.

Still, what a change! Seeing the lithe and refined woman looking so young and sporty was a night and day switch. Her fiery red hair was now entirely blonde. The CEO couldn't help but steal a glance at her breasts. Claire had never had such an impressive bust.

To her right stood Miguel. One of the best foreman of the firm, Richard had leaned on him for many years now, and his skill at wrangling both work crews and suppliers. Now today the Hispanic man looked much paler. His hair had become a sandy blonde. On his rounder cheeks not a trace of his stubble remained. The transformation looked striking on Miguel, whose burly manly shape had slimmed down into an androgynous, yet well muscled body. The sport legging he wore gave just a hint of female hips.

Finally was Andrew, the company's best lawyer. The lawyer would never be caught outside one of his trademark suits. That day, however, a blouse flared around a white undershirt. Andrew's face, which had long reminded the CEO of a hawk, was now a little rounder, his eyes a little bigger.

"Well?" Asked Andrew.

"Isn't it obvious?" Richard looked at his own hands, their skin smoother and softer. "Somehow it looks like the entire office is turning into Zoe."

"It started last week, but now the woman are all pretty far along." Claire said. Her voice held Zoe's calm, business like cadence. "It seems like the changes are mental, too. I've found myself being much more cheerful and patient while at works."

"The guys on the construction sites are all working hard, and reading books during their breaks. God, I don't know if it's more weird seeing those fuckers being productive or being engrossed by romance novels."

"I've certainly felt the pull toward new activities and clothing style." Andrew said. "But even weirder than this transformation is that it seems to affect people outside the company. My husband referred to me as his wife, or using feminine pronouns, a couple time now. Each time he's noticed his mistake and apologized, but these errors are becoming more common."

"Yeah, same for me. It seems like my wife thinks we are a lesbian couple. The guys on the construction site all think they are in a lesbian couple, too. Even the ones that hate LGBT shit. Uh, no offense Andrew."

The lawyer sighed. "None taken. Ironic that it looks like I'm turning straight while you and your staff are turning lesbian."

"Still, why are we changing? And why only us four have noticed? It seems like the outside world assumes that Andrew and Miguel have always been women like Zoe." Claire asked.

"I've seen a few people acting curious, or whispering to one another this week." Richard said. The president drummed his finger on the desk, thinking. "But most of them have not commented on all this. I think you three are some of my best employees, other than Zoe. If we are all becoming "like Zoe", then maybe those that were the most like her are the least affected mentally?"

"Max is well on his way to being like her, and he could not be more different to Zoe." Claire commented. "God, I wish I could feel more stressed about it."

"Whatever is changing us seems determined to make this a painless experience." Said Miguel. I gotta say, though... I only ran into Zoe now and then and she was in good shape. But you look like you put on a ton of muscle. More than she ever had." He pointed Claire's arms. "Maybe we aren't turning 100% into Zoe?"

Claire shrugged.

"Maybe it has to do with the needs of the company?" Richard said. "I've often wished employees were more like Zoe, but obviously I still need strong people that can work construction, too."

There was a long silence, as all four thought about the theory.

"I wish I could be more upset, boss. But I haven't fell this good about my life in quite some time." Claire said. "Maybe being Zoe won't be so bad?"

"We can only wait and see." Richard said. "I wonder what Zoe will think when she'll be back from her vacation in three days."
