In the Spirit World (after the war)

Asami and Korra stood in front of the spirit world portal, hand in hand. Finally able to admit their feelings to each other after needing to focus on the war for so long, they were free to do whatever they wanted. There was no Bolin, No Meelo, no Jinora or Kuvira to stop them. And even more importantly, no Mako.

Before stepping into the portal, Asami took the moment of isolation to finally kiss Korra. Wrapping her arms around her waist, Korra’s arms around her neck. “I love you,” Korra whispered.

“I love you,” Asami whispered back.

And then together, they entered the spirit world.
