Chapter 10 by Northfield Northfield

What's next?

In nothing but a towel, she begins running home

Sophia rushed through the automatic doors and out into the parking lot. She had been seen by quite enough people for today, and just wanted to get home. To do so, she had to cross the adjacent park, but she did not even care anymore. The sun had broken through the clouds and bathed her in warm sunlight, but she could not really find the time to appreciate it. The pavement was still wet and felt rough on her poor little feet. Humiliated as she had been, she now did not feel quite as exposed thanks to her towel, although she had paid a hefty price for it.

With the towel wrapped around her she could not run very fast, but she tried her best as she rushed between the rows of parked cars and across the wide road into the park. People stared at her as she ran, and it must have been a strange sight, as if she'd just come out of the shower. Especially so as she as was barefoot. In the park, god knows how many people must have seen her and stared at her. She even got recognized by a group of guys from her university. They yelled her name, but she refused to stop running for even a second.

At last she reached the end of the park, and could see her home from there. Soon, she was safely back inside. She sat on her bed in just her towel for a moment, reflecting on what had just happened. She'd started it all herself, but wow did she lose control of the situation fast!
