"Well Meg, I hate to break it to you but I've already got a girlfriend, two in fact. So I don't think there's really an opening for you in that department." You reply.

"Oh... I see." Now she really looks like she might be about to cry.

"But I am in **** need of a personal assistant. Perhaps we could promote you now that you're returning. You'd be directly working under me this way, like my second in command." You continue.

As you say this Meg's disposition completely changes. Where you previously thought she was about to cry, you now think she might be about to launch herself at you in joy.

"Do you really mean it boss?" She asks.

"Of course, you seem like the perfect girl for the job." You say with a smile.

Meg stands from her chair and comes around to hug you.

"Thank you thank you thank you." She blurts out in rapid succession.

"No worries at all. I look forward to working very closely with you." You say with a smile.

"Me too." She says. "When should I start?" She asks.

"How about right now?" You ask.

"That would be amazing." She answers.

"Great, why don't you get down on your knees and show me what you've learnt these past 8 weeks." You say.

"Gladly." She says with a sly grin, putting her hair up into a ponytail before getting down to her knees at your feet.
