The answer is unexpected. You had either expected Lisandra to say that she didn’t care for your father, or she admitting her love for him. She admitted she cared for him, even if she didn’t love him. That admission is quite pragmatic, in your opinion. She admitted she didn’t love him and the relationship between the two was transactional; your father provides for Lisandra and she remains by his side.
