In a room alone, and very pregnant

The nightmares didn't seem to stop. She would awaken from one only to find herself in another. Each was worse than the last, and in each she was being abused by several men or large tentacles. When she finally awoke, she was in a large room, in a very large bed. The room had little more than the bed, a bath tub, and a few dressers, but everything was painted a beautiful cream color.

She started to sit up, but her body didn't respond well and her belly was swollen, preventing much movement. She gave a strangled scream when she saw her stomach, but then William's words echoed in her head. The next generation was the only hope for stopping Kalveroth. She placed a hand on her belly and was startled when she felt movement. Then she recalled something else William had said. He had mentioned that "She" would need the sword. The baby inside her was a girl.

The door creaked open and a woman in a maid's outfit came in, saw Venus sitting up, and shrieked. The woman quickly fled the room and slammed the door. Venus decided that this was probably in response to the child inside her. She began struggling to get up and head for the door, when her nudity became apparent. She stumbled to the dresser and found a white dress that she was able to pull over her head and get it to cover her fairly well. By the time she was done though, she was panting and tired. The door flew open before she could head for it and an old priest and the young woman who had introduced her to Beldan came in. The woman no longer wore her robes as a Sister and instead wore casual pants and a dusky brown shirt. The old priest hobbled over to Venus and looked her up and down.

"Please dear, you shouldn't be out of bed. Your child is growing quickly and you could give birth within the day."

"Am I in the church?"

"Yes, the main cathedral here has a guest wing. You and the other young ladies were brought here as soon as the battle ended. You endured quite an ordeal but thankfully you and your children survived."

"The battle?"

"Where you not aware? The Shadow Hunters and a small group of Battle Priests attacked the cult right before you wounded Kalveroth. In fact, your husband led the way."

"And Rondo was so amazing! I'm so glad I'm part of the family now," added Winlay.

"Excuse me, what," asked Venus, rounding on Winlay. The young woman wilted under her glare and stumbled back and hid behind the priest. The old man gave a slight cough to draw her attention

"This is Winlay. Like you, she was a victim of the bishop. I believe you know about the ring he used? She was **** to be his aid because of it. Your husband saved her, but both of them were under the effect of some Succubi. He saw what was done to her and decided to take her under his protection."

"I... Suppose that is good enough cause. But the battle?"

"Ah, yes. Kalveroth escaped thanks to his commander and concubine, but the cultists were nearly completely wiped out. A few escaped into the underground catacombs with their lord, and our pursuers were unable to capture them. We did find something interesting. Winlay, please let Rondo know that both his wives are now awake please. I need to speak to Venus alone."

"O-ok Archbishop Liones. Venus, I didn't mean to let things get like this. I hope you can forgive me."

Before Venus could answer, the girl ran out the door. Venus look in askance at the Archbishop, waiting for him to continue.
