Improving Relationships

Hifumi pondered. "It is a relatively untapped market here in Japan... Mr. Naegi, have you considered increasing the size of women's butt-"

"Not right now!" Makoto waved his hands to stop Hifumi before he could finish. He was already hiding a boner as he sat there. If he made Tsumugi any sexier, he was worried he might actually burst a Man's Nut right there! "We can get to more physical changes later. Any other ideas?"

"Understood, Mr. Naegi!" The Ultimate Doujinshi said enthusiastically. "It occurs to me we don't know much about the main character yet. What are they like?"

"Umm..." Makoto was really wishing he'd put more thought into his cover story right about now. "Honestly, I hadn't put much thought into him, yet..." He said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.

"So a blank, POV type character, Mr. Naegi?" Hifumi rubbed his chin, seeming... disappointed. "I suppose it isn't a bad first attempt in your first foray into writing, but I would be lying if I wasn't hoping for more..." He sighed deeply, making Makoto feel even more awkward.

"Well, there isn't anything wrong with it for a first attempt, even if the idea of a Self Insert can come off as cringe." Tsumugi commented, making Makoto cringe as she did. "But it's important that, whatever characters your using, you must portray them as accurately as possible. To do otherwise is a disservice to all the fans of the source material!" She shouted and pointed at the Lucky student, who leaned back in shock. He then had to drag his eyes away from the bounce in her chest.

"So..." Makoto eventually managed to get out. "As long as they act like themselves, it's okay to do more with them? Like alter... relationships or behaviors slightly?" He asked nervously.

"As long as it would make sense for those characters to behave that way, I have no problems." Tsumugi replied curtly, clearly having at least a slight problem with it.

"Oookay... any suggestions?" He asked warily. Tsumugi didn't respomd, but Hifumi looked like he'd had a brainwave. "Mr. Naegi, is the series you're basing your fanwork on one with a harem series, by any chance?"

"...yes?"

"Then I have a proposal, Mr. Naegi!" Hifumi raised an arm intonthe air in excitement. "Why not have the protagonist simply make polycule's acceptable!"

Makoto simply blinked at him. "Poly-what?"

"It's a more recent term for a romantic relationship with 4 or more people." Tsumugi chimed in, looking a bit calmer now. "It's an extension of throuple, which is 3 people together compared to a couple." She paused, looking thoughtful. "It would be a solution of pain for many harem protagonists... the difficulty of choice... that seems like a reasonable change to me."

Makoto nodded and began typing.

Polycules are considered socially acceptable.

"Thanks for suggesting that thing about the polycules, Hifumi. I think I want to try taking it from here. And thank you too, Tsumugi." Makoto stood up before bowing in thanks to both of them, and exiting the room.

"Polycules? I don't remember bringing those up. Did I do that and forget, Ms. Shirogane?" Hifumi was looking at Tsumugi with confusion. The cosplayer shook her head, her large chest bouncing as she did so. "I don't think so, Mr. Yamada." She responded with a playful jab at the doujinshi's method of referring to others. "Maybe he misheard something while thinking about his 3 girlfriends?"
