You and Obi-Wan take the turbolift up the side of the Senate Apartment Complex, making for Padmé's penthouse suite at the peak of the elegant spire. Obi-Wan seems to think the senator will be pleased to see the both of you after so long, but you aren't so sure. Your hands feel clammy and you can't stand still; you feel like your boots are full of sand.

The lift doors slide open, and you're greeted by Jar Jar as the Gungan bounds in to vigorously shake Obi-Wan's hand. You smile at the lanky amphibian, the goofy exuberance you enjoyed as a child having quickly worn off. You ignore Binks completely as you spot a familiar slender figure turning from the curved window, and your throat tightens.

Obi-Wan sweeps in to greet her smoothly, offering his hand. "It is a great pleasure to see you again, M'lady."

Padmé's face, as angelic as ever, lights up. "It has been far too long, Master Kenobi." Her soft brown eyes suddenly flick across to you, and the shadow of confusion briefly troubles her brow. "Annie?" Her eyes sparkle in recognition, and a surge of warmth flows through you, more nourishing than the **** itself. She looks you up and down. "My goodness, you've grown."
