Ignore the Call

You don't typically answer the phone if you don't know the caller. Furthermore, it's one thing to answer a call from a number you don't know, and something completely different when the number is blocked or unknown. The phone eventually stops ringing, so you reach across the passenger seat so you can put it back to your purse.

Retrieving the purse from the floor, you place it on the passenger seat when your phone alerts you that you have an incoming message. Not a voicemail, but a text message from an unknown source.

"You would be wise to answer when I contact you."

Before you can fully process the text message, your phone rings again.
