Ignore him

By this point I had learned that the best way to deal with Brandon was to simply ignore him. By paying attention to him I give him what he wants. I tuned out Brandon's provocative comments, focusing instead in professor Cartwright's words.

After a while he got annoyed with my lack of response and leaned in.

I could hear the smugness in his voice. It reminded me of that night, of what I saw in that bedroom. His closeness made the memory even more uncomfortable. His offer should be repulsive, but there was a part of me that yearned to see his nakedness again. Holding firm, I spent the rest of the lecture not acknowledging his existence next to me. Brandon didn't seem to mind though, and freely gave whispered comments about the other students, the professor and the material. By the time the class was over he had garnered scornful glares from many of the girls sitting closest to us. Jessica looked quizzically at me several times, but I just shook my head at her.
