I slowly wake up...

I awake lying on a table under a harsh bright light, but I cannot move, not even to wiggle my head. I'm not sure if I'm bound though because in fact I cannot feel anything at all, not even to blink!

Above me is someone, but the light is so bright I cannot see who. Then a woman comes in from the side. She has long silver hair and strange violet skin-tight outfit and speaks mockingly to the person obscured by the light, "That didn't go as you predicted."

"I never claimed to know exactly how it would end," the man who sounding like the monk says dismissively. "The data was inconclusive, but I admit, this was one of the more unlikely outcomes, but not entirely unforeseen."

"So what about the project?" the woman asks, now sounding more concerned. "Does this cause a paradox?"

"Not at all," the monk says confidently. "Amazingly he was able to impregnate one female, so his line will continue and nothing is actually changed."

The silver haired woman laughs. "He did? When?"

"His penis briefly touched the Daishi girl, Hazuka. Even precum has a few sperm in it, and one was all it took," he laughed.

"Lucky **** bastard," the woman laughed.

"We all got lucky that he did, or our timeline might not exist anymore," the monk cautions.

"Yeah… I guess so," the woman says conceding the point. Changing the subject she then asks, "So what about the oni?"

"Oh, it survived just fine and crawled out of his corpse and into a cave at the base of the cliffs," he regards offhandedly. "It was weakened, but that's all we really need for now, plus this way I get to dissect his body and brain and see if there isn't anything new we can learn about what made him so special."

Then the woman looked down at me. "What's with all this?" she points around my head.

"Ah," the monk says happily. "I'm running a current through his brain to allow me access. Figured I would let the computer do a full download. The good news is he didn't crack his skull so the whole thing is bruised, but still mostly intact!" Suddenly it all comes back to me, the pain of my chest caving on the rocks, the shock, then slowly bleeding out as I passed out from being unable to breathe. "I was right on hand so teleported the body to the medibay as soon as the oni had departed."

"Good," the woman nods and then turns away. "I expect a complete report as soon as you can, Matsumoto." Then there is a swooshing sound and she's gone.

The monk then lifts up the bright light that is attached to his head, but I can see now he is no monk, but somehow just an older, slightly different version of me. "Now then…" he grins down at me, "Let's see what our brain looks like on the inside," he says excitedly as he brings a small buzzing tool down between my eyes and suddenly everything goes red and all I can hear is the buzzing grinding against my skull and it opens for him. I cannot even close my eyes as I am **** to watch and listen for endless hours until finally, thankfully everything goes dark.
