I need to think about this.

This is a lot to take in. Granted, you’re the last person on earth to be prudish — particularly considering everything you’ve been involved in for the past semester, but to hear your girlfriend suggesting that you turn into swingers for the weekend is sending you into unexplored territory.

“I need to think this through,” you finally say. You start to head back to your bed, but you look at Chet and realize that he’s just going to want to talk to you if you go in there, and you need some time alone.

“I’m going to go sleep on the couch upstairs,” you announce, as you grab your pillow and leave Chet and the girls behind. You briefly worry that they’re going to break out in a threesome the moment you leave, but that’s just too much for you to stress about for now.

You make your way up the stairs and through the darkened house. Only then does it dawn on you that you are dressed only in your boxers. Going back to your room now to grab some sweatpants and a t-shirt will just add to the awkwardness. You reason that you won’t be sleeping very soundly, anyway, and you’ll be able to return to your room in a few hours before your hosts wake up.

Being careful not to awaken anyone, you keep the lights off. Fortunately, you find your way to the couch in the living room without tripping over anything. You throw yourself down on the couch and ponder the developments of the past few hours.

As you lay on the couch, you consider once again what Kendra suggested. Is it really such a horrible idea? I mean, after all, she’s totally ok with you banging Sarah at every opportunity, and that’s an ongoing thing. Could there really be any harm in letting her have some fun with Chet — particularly since you’ll be going back to school in a couple of days, leaving Chet behind.

You’d like to dislike Chet, but you can’t really bring yourself to hate the guy. Look at what he’s doing, after all — it’s basically the same as you. You didn’t have any problems with multiple sexual romps with Sarah every single day that you were courting Kendra, back when you thought you were being all sneaky and everything.

As you silently debate the pros and cons of the situation, you hear the sound of the front door being unlocked and opening. You realize it must be Jeni coming home from an evening of fun with her friends. You are surprised when you hear a girl’s voice whispering, “It’s ok... Everyone’s asleep. Come on in.”
