What happens?

I knock her out

Chapter 21 by Gerald F.

The barbarian queen approaches at a tremendous speed - a tall, athletic woman, her large breasts, arms and shoulders bearing the traditional tattoos of barbarian warriors. I barely evade a spear blow which would have transfixed my corselet and my whole body. In return, my sword crashes on the queen's helmet.
Lucky blow! It makes her lose her balance and fall from her chariot. Her head knocks the ground and, before she can recover, I've disarmed her and my horsemen surround us. The barbarians fight desperately to disengage their queen, but their attacks break on the Roman spears, and they fall one after the other, till the fate of the battle is settled.
Aurelius and Ruleus' troops have disarrayed their adversaries, and the legate arrives at his horse's gallop, while we are circling the queen who, still groggy, tries to get to her feet again, blood running from her head into her neck.
"Don't touch her!" Aurelius shouts. "She is the emperor's prisoner. I've got orders to bring the barbarian chieftain back to Rome!"
Still numbed, she resists only feebly when we chain her, nevertheless sending me a fierce look of hate.
"Who are you, barbarian?" Aurelius asks.
"I'm Brynhild, queen of the Franks," she snaps.
"More exactly, you were queen of the Franks. What foolishness pushed you to declare war to the Roman empire, o Brynhild?"
"And what pushed the Romans to invade my contry and slaughter my people, fifteen years ago? Why did they kill my husband and parents? Why did the soldiers rape me? Why did they abduct my daughter? She was only three, and if she still lives, she must be a slave in some Roman brothal!"
Even in front of this half-naked, wounded and chained woman, Aurelius seems to recoil. He doesn't answer and just orders her to be bandaged and led into the town's dungeons.
Due to the scarce resources of the town after this long siege, the celebration is less brilliant than after our first battle. Nevertheless, the victory is more complete, the surviving barbarians being scattered and retiring to the north. Another good new is the one Aurelius announces me.
"You are the emperor's prisoner too," he says with a wink. "I've also orders to bring the Defensor of Tarraco back to Rome. Emperor Gallus absolutely wants to know the man whose horsemen have routed the barbarians!"
It seems that my military career has taken a new turn. Already, a galley is commissioned in the port to carry Aurelius, the prisoner queen and myself to the Eternal City.
