The officer lets out a laugh. At least I’ve put him at ease. Maybe I can talk my way out of this.

“Anyways, um, I left my wallet at his house. Can you just follow me back to his house and I’ll show you my license? I promise I have one. We were just playing a stupid game and it got out of hand. Please?” I ask.
