“I AM !!!” all of us boys answered in unison. Our outburst was immediately followed by mutual staring. The two girls remained silent.

Ms. White and Amber shared a conniving look and chuckled before Ms. Amber told us “It’s the same every year, huh.”

A tall male student with very effeminate hands and face asked “What do you mean by that ?” He had long dark hair that fell in front of his eyes, an earring shaped like a sword, and a nose piercing.

“Well Mr. Kelly, every year I ask the same question, every year the boys in the room claim to be the strongest while the girls humbly restrict themselves from responding, and over the last twelves years the students who represented our school in the Games have all been female.”

Harden and I gulped. What she just said; does it mean that girls are inherently stronger than us? I looked at Rebecca and this time she answered me with her own gaze and a small but insulting grin. Does she agree with them? Do all these women consider I’m no match for them?

Ms. Amber finally said to the dean “Since it’s always the same circus, should we just get rid of the clowns right now?”

The dean’s desk exploded

From the punch of a man big like a behemoth. As the dust revealed his back, I saw his uniform ripped from the size of his deployed muscle. The behemoth calmly stood up as neither Ms. White nor Amber were perturbed in any way.

“I’m tired of your bullshit.” His massive chest hard like Iron turned our way. His fist unclenched, releasing the pulverized wood and his index pointed towards me. “First it was this nigga.” His finger slid towards Rebecca “And now this bitch” Before crouching inside the palm again to re-constitute a fist “This school is a shit hole, putting light on little shits.”

His aura jumped at our throat. It was like being hit by an elephant.

The behemoth “I won’t wait four months. I’ll kill all of you.”

As soon the dark hair’s feet raced to his face but an even more terrible aura paralyzed all my members. I found myself on the floor with the four other boys completely unable to lift a finger. It didn’t feel heavy at all, I just lost all my power instantly.

Ms. White sucked her teeth and said “Don’t be vexed, you are still part of the competition to represent the school. Ah la la, men’s egos are so sensible.” She traced circles with her finger “Eins, Zwei, Drei!” and her desktop rebuilt itself. “Mr. Gon, you won’t kill my students today. Go back to class. You are exhausting my grace. Eins, Zwei, Drei!”

And I appeared inside Mr. Berengarius’ class with Rebecca and the black girl.

I was able to move but my head was spinning. I hardly managed to stand on my feet and find a seat. I sat next to Raybelle.

She whispered “What happened to you? Shouldn’t you go to the infirmary ?”

I looked at her concerned face inspecting my body. I reached out my hand and she cupped it in her little cold fingers. She squeezed it with strength.

I said “I’m okay. Just a little stunned but it will pass.”

“Okay, let me help you then.” She brought my hand to her lips and tenderly kissed it longly. While she kissed my hand I could feel my head clearing up and finally came back to my senses.

“Wow, I feel so good. Thank you, Ray.”
