Chapter 8 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

Under what guise do I meet Virgilia and where?

I am a new sorcerer and we meet at the veranda of the Kuwadorian

If I want to get a hang of this Pink Trigger, the fastest way will be to spend some time with witches. Virgilia is Beatrice's former instructor. She's an Endless Witch herself, one of the few who can claim to have passed on her gifts to another witch. If she can do that for Beatrice, maybe she can do the same for me.

They say that somewhere on the island of Rokkenjima, another smaller dwelling was built, away from the manor and the guest house. Down a winding trail lay the Kuwadorian. Scholars are split on the purpose of this place, but it lies at the end of a winding, wooded path, well-hidden from the island's infrequent guests. It's so far away from the main manor as to be, frankly, inconvenient, but it's perfect for someone like me, who wants a little privacy while they learn the ways of magic.

Out here, the witches frequently drink tea and talk shop. It's such a peaceful place and such a vibrant scene that you could barely imagine these witches harming a fly. Here, I met Virgilia as a new student of hers, with aspirations on becoming a great witch like Beatrice, the island's current ruler. She sat across the round, silver table, drinking tea from a cup and saucer with one finger extended in a dainty way. Her expression was soft and calm, with her eyelids gently closed and a smile on her face between sips. Her black cap and dress, the latter ringed with a golden banner, really reminded me of how lucky I was to be drinking tea with a witch.

This was fine, really. I could drink tea with Virgilia all day and listen to her talk about breaking pots being easy and putting them together being hard. But I didn't just want tea and I didn't just want to break pots. I wanted to smash her pot, if you get my meaning. I wanted to drink her tea straight out the kettle. I wanted to-

"Your mind is somewhere else, young Player. Until you can clearly envision the tea-cup again, you'll never succeed in restoring its true form."

Crap. A half-broken teacup rested in my hand. Destroying it really was the easy part... Putting it back together was so damn hard.

"Come, come... Why not use my tea-cup for reference? That helps you picture your own, does it not?"

What do I do next?
