Chapter 4

Now then, we know what level you are, but what class are you?
I am a Blade of the Desert, equal parts assassin and secret police.
You are Slah'shi, supposedly an agent of the Scaled King sent to ensure that no immorality takes place in this hold, but in reality you've just given up on any enforcement role in favour of trying not to die.
Vou haven't been very successful.
You open your stat screen:
Slah'shi – Blade of the Desert
Level: 8
Melee Attack: 40
Ranged Attack: 12
Weakness: Frost
Resistance: Fire
Special Abilities
Cold-Blooded: Lizard Men do not suffer any penalties for fighting during the day in desert enviroments, but move 25% slower when fighting at night without a source of warmth.
Hide In Plain Sight: Appears as a normal Lizard Man until he attacks or is attacked.
Surprise Attack: Deals 2.5x damage when attacking with Hide In Plain Sight active.
Equipment
Daggers: +10 Melee Attack (included in stats).
Coarse Robes: Ultra-Light armour.
Hmm, maybe you could actually harm a mage, at least a little. A hundred points of damage is quite a bit, certainly enough to one hit one of your fellows... But the lowest level mage you've ever seen come by was level eigheen, and it's almost impossible to get close without someone attacking you and stripping the Surprise Attack buff from you.
Still, there's no point waiting around to die again and again. Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will come by who you can actually kill?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
