Carlie smiled shyly, embarrassed at how exciting those rules were. Feeling bold, Carlie placed her hands on Katie’s foot, massaging it, placing her own on Katie’s lap. “I’m in. What exactly did you need me to consult on?”

“We need help finding a way to clean a new section of our town. We can’t lower it, to let the water run down, because the ground is too tough. However, we can’t repipe to let a new start source push water down, because they’ll meet in the middle and won’t wash properly.” Katie stated, massaging Carlie’s smaller foot, with pink nails. She rubbed along a stubby toe saying, “do you think you can figure out a solution?”

“Yeah it should be doable. I’ll need like two days to figure the math out, and the other three to make sure it’s practical.” Carlie said, feeling her body tingle at the soft ministrations of Katie’s fingers.

“Well then you can start right away tomorrow.” Katie said. “For now you can settle in, get your bearings with the town. A lovely host family has agreed to let you stay with them. Tomorrow you’ll come back here and work next door to me, so you can easily ask me any questions you have.”

“Great!” Carlie said, lifting her foot off Katie’s lap. “I’ll see you tomorrow then?” She stood, watching Katie nod, before she bent down and picked up her clothes. When she got to her car, she tossed them in the back and felt the fabric of her car seat against her bare skin. “This feels nice.”
