I closed my eyes as the dainty fist came toward me. Dainty it may be, I knew that fist could punch a hole through a brick wall. I couldn't believe how fucking stupid I was, jumping in front of Zod like this. What a ridiculous way to die...

Nothing. No impact...nothing. I opened my eyes to see Superwoman's wrist snagged by Raven and Argent, hanging on with all their might. "Noooo...!" Argent wailed. "Don't hit Daddy!"

That got Superwoman to stop completely. She had stopped punching the instant I got in the way, but Argent and Raven certainly helped. Now...I just had to think of some way to explain this to Superwoman. How can I explain that Zod wasn't the bad guy...girl...whatever. For that matter, how could I convince Raven and Argent?

...hope Zod had an idea on that matter...
