Chapter 6 by Randomhuman5 Randomhuman5

Well? What do I tell this stranger?

I'm lost

I'm lost sir. I didn't know this was your property. I'm sorry...

I looked down at my feet and hung my shoulders attempting every feminine trick I could think of to get him to help me.

It seemed to work as his face softened and I think I saw what could of been a pang of guilt...

'Alrighty then...' He said seemingly to himself.

Can ya walk?

I nodded.

'follow me' he stated his as a decree. Not a request.

Sensing my hesitation. 'unless you wanna see that wolf you love so much a little closer up. I'd suggest you follow me.'

With no other choice I followed the mountain Man into the forest.

This was hard work. I haven't lived a very hard life... But I could tell this was hard. Perhaps it was the exhaustion... Perhaps the cold... Perhaps the hunger... probably all three...

After what felt like hours he stopped and looked at me. His eyes scanned my body curiously. He observed me shiver slightly and suddenly his eyes shot fully open.

How long you been out here?

All night. I answered.

Suddenly he reached into his pocket and pulled out a strip of jerkey.

It ain't much. Here.

I hungrily bit down on it the taste of the salt and meat was the greatest thing I had ever tasted. The meat was dry and firm like any good jerkey and it has a delicious smokey salt taste.

He watched me gobble down the jerkey in a matter of moments his lips curled slightly upwards into a smile before being **** back down.

Next he placed his rifle on the solid ground and removed his bison cloak and wrapped it around my shoulders.

It's warmth was immediately felt for the first time in hours I finally felt warm. I couldn't help but moan slightly letting out a long slow breath creating a huge cloud of steam between us.

Once it passed I could finally see what this strange man looked like under this beastly cloak.

He wore a red flannel shirt tucked into his jeans which were a well worn blue. He wore a thick leather belt with a bull on the buckle. His shoes were dirty leather walking boots that had clearly seen one to many winters in these frigid hills...

Uh hum.

I was shaken from my trance long enough to thank him for his kindness.

Names Carter. Carter Gustafson. What's your name mam?

What do I say? Do I tell me the truth? What if he hears what I've done?

He might already know I've killed someone...

I'll just give a fake name.

It's not like you can tell him anyway...

Oh of course! Umm... Sorry I'm very tired and cold... And hungry...

My name's Victoria.

He looked at me.

Oh god he knows I'm lying...

Nice to meet you Victoria. Don't worry we'll be at my house soon. I'll take you to town tomorrow. See if we can find out were you're from.

Tomorrow?

He lowered his head.

Yeah... Ya see it's a long drive... I've got stuff that need to be done today given that you scared of animal that's trying to steal my chickens... gotta reinforce the cages. And no offense darling but I don't think you could stomach a few hour on bumpy roads today.

Don't worry. If I was gonna hurt you I would of already...

I'm sorry what? That was a super creepy thing to say unprompted... But I don't have a choice do I?

Without another word he turned around and continued walking deeper into the wood. Hopefully towards some food...
