I'm Not going to get Pregnant or LARP with You.

Rebecca saw Ellin and Oasis walk into the breakroom. She quickly made her way over to them.

"Ellin let's talk in the hallway. This won't take long," Rebecca said pointing to the exit.

The sisters followed Rebecca into the hall.

"So?" Rebecca said looking to Oasis.

"So? What?" Oasis said confused.

Ellin sighed.

"She is not convinced magic is a thing. Oasis believes that yesterday everyone was suffering under some 'mass hysteria'. Now people are using 'pregnancy mania' and 'baby fever' to cope with the trauma," Ellins said giving finger quotations for emphasis.

"Well, Ellin here refused to prove magic exists. Where is a demonstration? I will not agree to anything without proof. And I would never agree to get knocked up just to play pretend Harry Potter," Oasis said pointing to her sister.

"I told you, yesterday's chaos was caused by evil sorcerers. If I showed you magic and you didn't join our group you could be in danger." Ellin said angrily.

"That's your problem, not mine," Oasis said staring daggers.

"Hmm, well I understand your skepticism Oasis. But how do you explain your sister's belly?" Rebecca said with a smile.

"You're a millionaire. You used 'experimental ****' on her. You want your employees to be pregnant models or LARP as Life Witches. And that's fine, I'm cool with it. Truly I am. What my sister does with her own body is up to her, " Oasis said raising her hand palms out.

"I wish her the best as a fake pregnant model. At least now she has a nice rack. But I am a little disappointed that you convinced Ashely to be a fake pregnant model too. She will be hard to replace on the Cheer Team," Oasis said crossing her arms.

"I see, and what about your friend Clare? She seems committed to having children with Peter?" Rebecca said with a laugh.

"As I said earlier, it's all post-dramatic stress fueling 'baby fever'. In a few days Clare, Jenny, and Dona will move on to the next big thing. I just hope those girls are playing it safe. They regularly take birth control. But you should never take unnecessary risks," Oasis said shaking her head.

"Hmm, well I understand your perspective Oasis. Blind faith is a tall ask. So, let me know if you change your mind. I believe you will come to understand the situation better in time. Remember our doors are always open," Rebecca said cheerfully.

"Thanks," Oasis said finding it hard to hate the millionaire.

"That reminds me, I promised a second gift if you finished the second round of questioning," Rebecca said snapping her fingers.

Rebecca pulled out another $500 store credit. She handed it to Oasis.

"Here, please take this as thanks. Remember there is no expiration date on your first card or on this second," Rebecca said with a gentle smile.

"Understood," Oasis said before putting the card in her purse.

"Ellin, can you escort your sister out. If she wants to buy something before she goes please run the register," Rebecca said turning to Ellin.

"Roger," Ellin said turning down the hall.

Rebecca watched Oasis follow her sister around the corner.

"Dam, I hoped she would have joined. She is in for a rude awaking at her high school," Rebecca said with a sigh.

"You sure you don't want to buy anything?" Ellin said unlocking the store entrance.

"No, I am not in the mood to shop," Oasis said looking around the store.

"Here, see you tomorrow night," Ellin said tossing Oasis her car keys.

"I am staying at the mansion with the other employees. I am curious to see how extravagant Rebecca lives." Ellin said with a chuckle.

Oasis watched Ellin laugh, admiring how Ellin's belly moved. It looked so cute.

"You, okay sis? You look red," Ellin said stepping closer.

This broke Oasis from her thoughts.

"Sorry, I was thinking of something," Oasis said blushing even brighter.

Oasis's mind raced. Why was she admiring Ellin's pregnant belly? And when did Ellin last laugh so easily?

"I need to go," Oasis said rushing out the door.

"Stay safe," Ellin said resting one hand on her belly and waving with the other.
