Hunt

"Ok, ok, calm down." You all gather around Nicole awaiting new instructions."We are here to hunt, not to fight over mates"

"I'm not fighting her over ..."

"Enough!" Amanda snaps. "I'm sorry, it will take some time for her to get used to it."

Leyla disapproves of her mother's actions with a hum but stays quiet otherwise.

"The normal werewolves are responsible for finding the prey and cornering it, if necessary, and the Prime has to kill it." Nicole explains. "In our case, we will search in that direction and see what we can find. Concentrate on hearing or smelling the prey, and make sure you inform Max as soon as you find something."

The girls spread a little and start searching for prey. You stay behind them, watching how their ears move as they focus in different directions. Despite being their job you try to concentrate too, in hopes that you learn something.

"Stay together!" Warns Nicole when Leyla distance herself from the group.

There are a lot of noises, and it's hard to know what is what. You see Nicole smile and her tail starts wagging, clearly happy to have found something interesting. The girls move from one place to another as they try to find something only to lose it or to mistake it for something else.

"You might want to smell the ground, as our smell covers everything else in the air"

Curious about Nicole's advice, you also try it. Fascinated by the different smells you get excited and try to take deeper breaths, closer to the ground to get more information. Unfortunately, you get your nose stuck with dirt and start coughing.

"Damn..."

You get embarrassed when the girls start to laugh at you.

"Great job Max, you scared every creature in the forest. We'll never find anything now." Leyla is starting to get on your nerve as all she did is complain from the moment she saw you. Yeah, you transformed her, but you also saved her life, and you are getting sick of her attitude.

"If you did a better job at finding something I wouldn't have to be bored!" you snap back at her.

"What!? You're saying is my fault?" she yells back at you.

"You are all at the beginning, it's not your fault. Jenny was close once but the prey got spooked since no one took care to hide their movement. Try to watch where you step and be careful not to touch many things. The more noise you make the harder it will be to catch something. Just follow me!" Nicole decided to not waste any more time, since you and Leyla keep clashing.

Nicole starts walking and you all follow. You try to concentrate on hearing any prey but it's too much noise. " Where are we going?"

"Shhh..."

She keeps walking through the forest at a casual pace zigzagging back and forth without a clear direction. She stops to sniff at a tree or the ground from time to time and you also try but fail to smell anything useful. Sometimes she even stops walking and freezes for a few moments before walking again.

Suddenly she stops and slowly crouches to the ground. She looks back at all of you and whispers. "It will be best if Max can kill it but you can all have a go at one as long as you let Max get one kill. Be careful not to make too much noise"

She says as she starts advancing carefully, trying to avoid making any sound. You all follow, some more successful than others in keeping the noise down and soon you see Nicole sprinting.
