In crisis mode because of the spill, you push your chair out, snatch a hand towel from the nearest waiter, and pass it to Hilary Balkin to dry her daughter off with; a jacket like that would offer no protection from the cold or wetness, and she'll probably need to change out of it. If only you'd had a coat to loan her.

You pointedly look away to give them privacy while Dr. Balkin dries her off, and try to think. Does Doe know she was being recorded? Or what her mother was doing with the recordings? It would have been an awful lot of work for a recording to show to just one person. And Gina Balkin. You'd promised her that you'd keep her secret, so should you pretend not to even recognize her? Doe. You'd witnessed her recorded in her most personal and intimate moments. And you'd had sexual relations with her MOTHER.

Dr. Balkin is testing you. She is putting you in an awkward situation, and you are freezing up and looking away. The towel was a nice start, but you needed to take the initiative. For all you know, Dr. Balkin could have been lying about Doe being her daughter.

Keeping your gaze averted from Gina, you adjust your posture and address Doe. "So, Doe."

"You have a lovely figure. Have you ever been filmed or photographed?"
