Humanity's change of stance (Mass Effect Thread)

Humanity had a long and turbulent history having as many villains in its story as heroes but eventually though all the miracles and disasters through all the hardships both internal and external they reached the stars and expanded outward. Making for themselves a galactic empire in their corner of the galaxy that was expanded once they found the mass relays.

Through the mass relays they found the alliance and that began the first contact war that once ended brought mutual respect to both sides. The humans then decided they wanted to formally join this great alliance of alien species but this was not to be. As humanity found itself on waiting list of one of many species waiting formally to join the great alliance.

So for many years humanity tried many avenues to speed up this process of joining through several methods such as formal diplomacy, bribery and helping in military operations on the side of the alliance. Though they never got anywhere until a woman by the name of Jane Shepard become a specter - a special agent if the alliance.

Sadly though this showing of humanity reaching the peak of alliance military didn't go anywhere as her superior was killed by a traitor specter who slaughtered their way through alliance species, though taking great pleasure in slaughtering humans when given the chance. Eventually the traitor was killed though not before revealing they were just a pawn of a bigger threat.

This threat was a race of living ships called the Reapers, they would go through known space and purged it of all sentient life as they had done before and would do again if given a chance. Now with such an obvious threat on the horizon, as a single Reaper has destroyed an entire alliance fleet, humanity wanted to prepare they were told they could not by the alliance.

As such tales of woe were lies of a mad traitor and the ship was a creation of the Geth a rogue robot species on the Quarian home world not some ancient horror from ages past. Wary of the threat that the reapers posed but not willing to risk war with the alliance they stood down and did not build up their presence for the reaper threat.

They paid for that deeply as the reapers using proxy's once again like they had with the traitor specter before sent out a race of enslaved sentients known as the collectors to attack human colony worlds. They process millions of humans from the worlds they burned to try and make a reaper human hybrid warship they were stopped once again by Jane Shepard.

Now the humans found themselves with a **** count in the millions just from fighting a single reaper ship and his proxy's. Their was no question now for humanity they needed to prepare for war against the most dangerous threat any species in the known universe had ever seen. Sadly though the alliance refused to see the threat instead wanting to stick their heads in the sand and demanding humanity do the same rather than prepare for what was to come.

So humanity had only once choice they could choose. They had to prepare for war by turning the other aliens races into tools for the great war to come. For if they would not fight for their own survival fine humanity would use them for its. So began the humanity conquest of alien races.

Humanity sent out its generals each with the mission for the domination of one alien race. How they went about that war of conquest was up to them their only requirement was that the race was ready to be used by humanity when the time came was what was expect of them. For they could not fail in making sure humanity had the bodies to throw at the threat of the reapers when the time came.
