Chapter 2 by ShyValkyre
What are you?
Human; Warrior
You notice Xharlion has been slowly looking you over this entire time. You wonder what it is he thinks of your physique.
You are a human, of course. Your training as a warrior has given you a muscular frame, though not overly muscular like a Beserker. You stand at an impressive 6'1, garbed with silver plated armor. A large broad sword is settled on your back, with your shield sitting by your legs, having deposited it there when you sat down across from Xharlion.
"I suppose I can settle," He says finally, not hiding the disgust from his voice. 'I guess that's his opinion of me' you think to yourself. "You humans, while not the most attractive in the behavioral department, are rather...hardy, shall we say?" He gives you another once over. "I may not agree with how you lot choose to live your lives, but I must admit you make....worthy meat shields. I guess I will hire you after all."
You're not sure if you should feel insulted or thank him.

The Paved Road To Nowhere
Not all mages are the same
You're hired to accompany a mage. You thought it'd be all good and easy until you actually meet the person. Slaying beasts seems like a cup of tea, now. Your job is to get him to his destination safe and unharmed...and also loosen him up a bit. The job description didn't say to protect him from you, did it?
